TTRPG Reputation Tracker

This is a really simple project but, since someone here asked about it, I thought I would post.

This is a custom “reputation tracker” for someone’s Victorain-era fae-themed tabletop role-playing game.

The four inner layers are 6mm thick walnut hardwood. The outer layers are 3mm thick walnut hardwood. The two parts are held together with little round magnets. Cork lining for the box and gasket between the parts. Fancy matte black cardstock backing for the top part.

The top was engraved with masking on. Then, I applied some sanding sealer to reduce the risk of the paint bleeding and, painted the engrave with silver acrylic.

Lots of sanding and finished with wipe-on poly.

There is a 2m “making of” short on Instagram and YouTube:

Quite elegant, and I agree that you nailed the vibe.

That’s beautiful! I love the use of (I’m presuming) cribbage pins

A Victorian era fae campaign sounds like way too much fun!

Aha.

Unless I miss my guess this is the actual item:

There seem to be several vendors selling the same or similar pins. These are the specific ones I used:

If anyone is not aware: usually, at least the first page of Amazon results for any given search will be unlabeled paid ads. The best matches and the best prices mostly appear after that.

I looked at a bunch of pins, mostly on Amazon and Etsy. That style seemed to be the best balance for matching the project and price. There are a lot of fancy cribbage pins out there.
