We repainted our shop and they gave us a bunch of paint stirrers, My husband made some upcycled earrings for me, and I made the earring cards for all the upcycled earrings I sell.

It’s kinda my thing. I usually work with soda cans and plastic bottles, but I can’t use either on the Glowforge. I just use it for my packaging.

Welcome to the community - looks like you’re well on your way 
BTW, if you’d rather get ride of the smoke stain (some of us like it, some of us don’t) you can either put masking on before you engrave, or wipe it off with baby wipes/simple green/vinegar/etc. There are a bunch of posts on here about different people’s solutions
