US Army Engineer Castle Keychains

Hello Glowforge family!

Since I was already here, I thought I’d share another one of the many random items I’ve made. A while back, I made some engineer castle keychains for a few of my Army friends and myself. I used some 1/4" acrylic from Inventables, and they turned out great! I’ve found using rubbing alcohol and q-tips really get the red off of the white.

Anyway, I hope they inspire someone else to get creative!

Those are cool. Where did you get the plastic? I haven’t looked yet, but I’ve been wanting to try some of the bicolor plastics to make ID plaques for our dog kennel. One for each dog to go on the gate panels.

I believe I got them from Inventables.com. They have a bunch of fun stuff on there!

I’ve had two-tone stuff for a long time and still haven’t gotten around to using it. Others having mentioned doing a low power, high speed of a second pass to get the the specks that get stuff to the underlying color, but I’ve also heard the alcohol technique you used works well. Either way, these came out really nice

Thanks! I tried it a few ways, but ultimately, I had to use rubbing alcohol to get off the color off of the white.

Thanks! Always nice to see a fellow engineer! Let us try!!
