I vote for “transmogrify” since we’re transforming boring stuff like wood and glass into something awesome. Plus that would mean the Glowforge is actually a transmogrifier, and I’ve wanted one of those ever since I started reading Calvin and Hobbes.
Zap is good. Got a certain ring to it.
Stand by…gotta go zap me a wallet.
I can zap that.
Just zapped a tat on my paw. Man does that hurt!
Thanks! He just zapped that coffee table last week.
Works.
So far, I’m still sticking with GLO(w)ria. That could all change.
Hmmmnn…“Not now, I’m Glo(w)-ing!”
That’s fun too!
Maybe, but that would probably lead to a lot of odd looks from others (“Be with you in a minute…got a project I’m boinking.”). How about we just have a “boink” sound once the job has finished?
I am laughing so hard I can no longer breathe.
Maybe if we shortened “transmogrify” to “mog”.
I’m good with that. As long as I can name my Glowforge “Transmogrifier” and have a “boink” sound at some point, I’ll be happy.
Now I have Mog’s moogle dancing in my head.
Using the terms “trans” and “boinking” togehter could lead to some uncomfortable missunderstandings
@dan, If we wanted to specifically advertise on our webpage that our work was “Powered by Glowforge” Is there a logo or set of logos that can be used? I know I could just use the main logo, but it would be nice if there was an official set of “affiliate” logos that artist and entrepreneurs could use.
There are a set of official logos on the press page. https://glowforge.com/press/
Though I’m thinking you might be talking about a different class of logo?
Not yet, but it’s a cool idea for the marketing hopper! cc @bailey
Nice.
Great idea!
Thanks! I’ve been told I have good instincts for marketing.
I’m thinkin’ tattoo
I bet the GF could make that tattoo for you. Its more authentic that way
I am SO using this one.
