USMC Logo

I made this for my son-in-law today. It’s not quite 6" in diameter; mahogany, walnut, and maple plywoods, with maple hardwood for the inlaid text.

Too bad we all dont live close enough to get some “hands on” tutorials! I’m such a visual learner… Particularly love the wrapped letters & INLAYS! Thanks again for posting!

Came out epic. Grain, texture, the entire operation.
When a dozen of his friends ask for a duplicate, it will be decision time.

Not making light of it. When things come out that great there will always be a demand.

The only thing that would make this more amazing is if it was a USN logo…lol.

Actually that was a temporary while I was making him one just like it, except out of the same walnut as in the logo. It looked even better with that one, but I didn’t get a chance to take a photo before he swooped it up.
