USPS Mailbox for preschool

Howdy! Just wanted to share a USPS model mailbox I made for my SO’s preschool class. They had a ton of fun putting mail in and racing around to retrieve it on the other side.

Made with Fusion 360, logos added in Inkscape, printed on Glowforge.

Great job. You will be called upon many times, I am guessing, for more innovative learning tools such as this.

Indeed! This year has already seen name tags, a cubby/pigeonhole box, a shadow box theater, and a number of paper/felt/foam cutouts for kids crafts.

Having mostly survived a few weeks in the classroom, one change I’ll make for next time (?) is to put the door slide guides (and the sliding door itself) on the inside. Cleaner outside “lines”, fewer things for kids to pull on.

Or you could embrace it and make a busy board on the side  A multifunctional classroom addition! :joy:
