Utility panel from Lowe’s

Utility panel from Lowe’s seems to be a nice type of wood to do test projects on. Comes out to under $2 per sheet once cut down. It’s pretty light weight and cuts easy on thick maple settings and here is an engraving with thick maple bit map engraving. It seems to be a little to much power but for a first guess / test not bad.

Here’s the bar code if needed

That’s grand - and at .197 it’s a touch thinner than thick, but only a touch!

Thanks for the info. Will have to check it out the next time I go to Lowe’s. I know I’ve bought underlayment to use for testing, but haven’t yet. I have bought their poplar and used it with good results.

Yea mine measured with digital calipers comes out to 0.185 so that’s the only downside

I have been using RevolutionPly which is very decent to use and about the same price, but actual plywood all the way through.

I looked for that when I went but didn’t see it when I was there but shows in stock. Weird.

I get it in 5- 19"x48" sheets which leaves 4- 0.25" kerfs. Easy to carry and (with a pro)very efficient to use.
