My son wanted a treasure chest for his valentine’s box so I threw something together in Illustrator and it actually fit together pretty well. Glued the whole thing together with hot glue on the inside seams and it is still holding strong. The lock kinda worked but after my son locked it a few times it was pretty smooshed.

Very cool! I love treasure chests, and the lock is a great touch! 
That lock is a great addition to the pirate chest! I suppose you could make it out of something sturdier than cardboard if it gets a lot of use.

Looks great. Especially like the lock, the silver accents, and the rivets. I love cardboard for projects like this. Also use it for many of my drafts.
