Made for my friend who has Norwegian roots (and even has a sauna in his house!). Birch plywood gift box with his family’s initials engraved in Icelandic rune and a scored viking raven emblem. I really like the snap-together style (from the initial box demo a month or so back). The lid handles are also a very simple design, cut through and held firm with a simple dowel insert. My plan is to fill it with cookies, candied orange peel, pistachio toffee, chocolate truffles and spiced almonds - and then I will pillage it.
PRO TIP: duct tape works GREAT for getting the teeny tiny tape pieces left over from the scoring of the emblem.
