It’s been a couple of years since I’ve shared anything here in the Glowforge community, but I’ve still been keeping busy with creative projects. This time, I wanted to show something a little different.
I use my Glowforge to cut out delicate wafer paper shapes, not just not just flowers, but also intricate animals and figures then assembled them into these colorful, handmade blooms and detailed pieces. It’s always amazing how well the Glowforge handles such fine, intricate cuts, and how quickly flat wafer paper transforms into something full of life and texture.
Here are a few photos of my wafer paper creations.
It’s nice to be back sharing and seeing all the inspiring work happening here!
Don you have any other places online to view your work? I’d particularly love to see in-progress shots. Learning about other artists’ techniques is always interesting. You’re doing master-level work here.
Joining the choir singing the praises of your art. Thank you so much for sharing these photos. The Glowforge is an exceptional tool in the hands of a master with vision.
Wow, thanks for sharing this! That’s some amazing work. I, too, am unfamiliar with this artform and would love to see more of the design and assembly process!
My mind is blown. I can’t mentally grasp that this aren’t real flowers. And the bird is so real too. That’s just excellent. I didn’t know what wafer paper was before this post either. I can’t imagine eating these. Thank you very much for sharing!
Many heartfelt thanks for sharing my old posts!! I do have an Insta page: @chokolatedesigns where i do share some of my in-progress shots with dirty fingers and messy workspace. but only in stories… If ever interested in a lenghty tutorial i got an ebook where i do explain all the steps on how I craft the wafer paper Rose. It’s a free welcome gift to all subscribers.
