Wax and ink stamps for artist friend

So I have this artist friend who made his own maker’s mark (of course he did) but he only works in pencil and what I’ve always assumed is watercolors. He’s wanted a ring from his mark, but I have to work up to that as that is a bit much for me to bite off. So in the meantime, I have made him an ink and a wax stamp with his mark.
This is my first time with laser rubber so I had to play around some but I got there. The wax stamp could have been done in acrylic but I’m learning new things so I CNC’d it out of Delran.
This project really shows that having more than one smart tool doesn’t add capability, it multiplies it.

Nice. I only ever made one stamp with my Machine in the past and it wasn’t nearly as good as this.

Do you find the stamp to be too shallow? I’ve tried a few times but it always ended up being too shallow or having too many marks on it.

This turned out great. I’ve made a few stamps and have been very satisfied with them.

This is the type of custom gifts the :glowforge: empowers me to make for friends and family.
Keep at it. I look forward to the ring with his mark made by you.

While playing with it I had to up the pew pew several times before it was as deep as needed. You can engrave as deep as you need as long as you adjust your settings.

Lots to learn for that one but that’s part of why I want to do it.

Good stamp. I have found that laser rubber actually works better with wax seals than Delrin does, so the one stamp could actually do double duty.

I don’t have an appropriate wax so ill Make sure the recipient knows that.
