Wedding box

I recently attended a steampunk themed wedding. As the bride and groom are already well established, we decided to give them some cash towards their honeymoon. Why buy a card when you can cut a box?

I purchased the file from an Etsy seller https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/522443707/laser-cut-vector-model-instant-download?ref=yr_purchases. It is supposed to hold a USB of a wedding video, but it worked great as a gift box. I added the bride and groom’s names and added a gear to closure.

The box was cut out of proofgrade maple ply. I love the living hinges.

I also laser cut a tag out of printed card stock and and engraved it with our names so they knew who it was from, but I forgot to take a pic of that.

Having a laser cutter has seriously upped my game. It’s SO much quicker to make things.

Gifts are so much fun with the Glowforge! Like the addition of their names.
