I just finished these for a customer and her best friend. They are both getting married in June.
The design was drawn in CorelDraw and cut from HD ply.

It was masked, scored, then painted. It had a base of Polycrylic (4 coats with light sanding) to keep the wood fibers from lifting when I removed the mask.
