It’s so nice to be able to do projects like this so easily. I’m sure they appreciated it!

Totally. The welcome sign, however, would have have been a lot easier with a “Pro”. It was a little too big for my laser bed so I had to do it in two pieces that I keyed together. A little gluing, gentle sanding, and touch up painting and you can’t tell where the joint is.

Great use of type! Is this a certain font? Or something you drew up yourself?

It’s called Astereiska which I acquired from dafont.com. I did modify it slightly by adding the big curly Q on the top of the “L” and the small flourishes on the “w” and the last “e”.

THose little extra details sure do go a long way to make things extra nice! It’s great when you can just create them as needed! Go GF!

Thanks! You could also pick up the flourishes from the embedded glyphs. (in illustrator, when in text with the selected font go type>glyphs

You’ll open a window with all kinds of cool flourishes and extra’s embedded within the font file not accessible through regular typing.
