why is my Glow forge not printing on on the spot that is shown on the preview on screen

Could you post a picture of what’s going on? How far off is it?

You have to use Set Focus before placing the design where you want it. This assumes that you have run the calibration with success and there are no other issues.

I did the calibration before do I have to do it each time?
I set the focus after thanks

No. You only need to calibrate once (although, if you move your machine it isn’t a bad idea to calibrate it again).

Use “Set Focus” everytime before placing your design. If you’re placing your design in the upper left corner then do “Set Focus” in the upper left corner too to ensure good placement.

That is why you have an issue. One of the primary reasons for set focus is to line up the image with the location on the crumb tray. Before that the image will not show the final location.

And remember, the camera is fisheye so placement can’t necessarily be determined by looking at the screen…
