What multi devices do you own?

Add a Cameo 5 to my list.

Seems like we all have similar equipment/hobbies/interests!

I have…
2 - GlowForge Plus(ses)
2 - 3D Printers (Flashforge Finder & Bibo)
3 - Heat Presses (HTVRont, Cricut Easy Press, Cricut Easy Press Mini)
1 - Sublimation Mug Press
1 - Sublimation Converted Printer
1 - Cricut Joy
1 - Cricut Maker
1 - Silhouette Cameo 3
3 - Serger Sewing Machines
9 - Sewing Machines (I teach sewing classes)
1 - Yudu Personal Silkscreen Printer

Of all of these gadgets, the lasers make me the most money. However, teaching sewing classes is a close second. But, my decorated cookie baking business still makes more than all of these combined. Sadly, the cookie biz is the most time consuming. Wish I could do more layering cause its less labor intensive.

Relief engraved designs, or carefully designed 3D printed and made into custom cookie molds could way speed up production. And for really big productions (like a marriage) custom designs with names etc could be a big deal, with all the main work just once.

I had alot more before i moved:

Glowforge Basic
Glowforge Pro
16-in-1 Heat press
Converted epson for sublimation
Another epson for nonsublimation projects (stickers, printable transfers, etc)
Two sewing machines
1 serger
Anycubic resin printer
Silhouette Curio
2 3D scanners
2 Drones…

Now… I’m wishing i had brought it all and trying to figure out what should be my first buy to recreate my hoard. Still have the Pro, 1 sewing machine, 1 serger, 2 3D scanners, 2 drones. Really need alot of stuff, but i barely have time to use what i have.

The Drones seem like the wave of the future if one can ride that wave. I rode the AutoCAD wave that has come and gone but drones are wide open.

At one point highrise apartments were such a hot sell in Miami they would get an option to buy the land, hire the company I was working for to make a series of models showing the building and each kind of apartment, and then they would take folks up in a helicopter to show them the view from where the apartment would be. You could do the same with a drone with a photo out of each window before the building was built, and a lot cheaper than the helicopter.

They would sell out all the apartments before even paying for the land much less building the building.

I do like the drones. They are useful in multiple ways…taking photos, inspecting rooftops and solar panels, scenic videos.

I especially like these random thermal photos I got of our car when my husband was seeing if it could do donuts. It’s very difficult to do donuts in our car, there is too much computer stuff going on to prevent it, but he managed.

ā€œMultiplyā€

exactly how I explained to my SIL, regarding the acquisition of Tools. she didn’t understand why ā€˜another’ tool had to be purchased when I was doing something around the house. My FIL, was not a house projects kind of guy, so she didn’t grow up around that.

Lucky for me when I would explain what this tool or that tool would allow for different projects she was like. ā€œOKā€ I can live with that.

and the Mrs. is quite happy with the tile backsplash, the storage/furniture constructed,

I have an Aura, a Cricut Maker, and older Cricut explore, a Janome 525E embroidery machine, and a Janome 9500MC embroider/sewing machine, an old Janome sewing machine and a Viking serger. oh, and a paragon mini-kiln, an RBI pro scroll saw, a Genesis ring saw and a glass grinder. If you want to get into supplies stash, that gets ugly.

I sure wasn’t expecting to see Gwinnett when I started reading this- I grew up around the Lilburn branch & there were definitely no cool maker spaces back then! Love to see this is my home town & I’ll make sure my family knows this is available.

@rachelcfelker the first one opened in 2012, but we didn’t have a Glowforge then.
