I haven’t read the whole thread yet so maybe this was answered, but for those of you that got the holy email, does your account area on glowforge.com also indicate that your unit is ready? Just asking because I’ve had a few Glowforge related emails end up in my spam junk and it would seriously, deeply, terribly suck to have this important email get overlooked for even a day.

Yes, it has tubes (all functioning) and is Perkins Elmer’s first laboratory IR. I used one of these as an undergraduate in the early 80s. The servo mechanism driving the marking pen is currently jammed, awaiting repair.

I haven’t noticed anything on my forum account that states mine is ready and shipping. Just make sure to allow all emails from glowforge in your spam settings

I ordered a Basic but also included the air filter. Doesn’t sound like anyone so far has gotten an “it’s ready” notice for the air filter. I don’t even need the air filter, I just got it to have the option someday so I’d love to have the GF now and the filter in another shipment whenever…

The filter won’t delay your Glowforge. It will just get shipped later.

You can request GF delivery delay until the filter is ready, if that is your preference. Somehow, I don’t think that will happen very often.

I have the same setup as you and I have received shipping notice for my glowforge and email said the filter will ship at a later date. You can delay if you want but sounds like you did like me and bought the filter for more of an option instead of a necessity.

Good to know. I’m curious when you ordered yours? I was early October but am also in SW Florida about as far from Seattle as you can get. Hopefully I see something soon, I’ve got so many products to start making!
