Will Unglazed Ceramic Tile work with the Norton Tile Method?

As the title suggest, I’m looking for an answer before I order some unglazed tile. Can anyone weigh in, one way or another?

I wanted some octagon tiles to use, but I can only find the unglazed ones, thus far. I tried to search here to see if anyone has commented on this, already, but didn’t find anything.

I went ahead an ordered an set of unglazed tiles. If nothing else, I will update this when I try it out.
