Sometimes I wish I had access to a larger laser…

So you could fix that awful font selection? I kept thinking “what’s an anladen swallow?”

And I suppose the fact that you can buy this stuff online is your access to a larger laser? Is anyone offering custom doormats on Etsy or something?

Most doormats are ~18x30, so you could totally do it if you implement @timjedwards’ door trick!

Might be hard to find a good clean split line between the right & left halves…

Sure, I could buy one, but what’s the fun in that?

it would be very tough to deal with 18x30. you could probably get the two outside edges pretty well engraving them at the back portion of the bed w/o the crumb train. but if you have design in the dead center of the 30" portion, it may be a very close fit to get there. and running the doormat over the lip of the front of the machine may make it tough to get the front edge low enough to be in focus. trust me, i considered this when trying to get the 18x30 one i ended up doing in the office at home.

I made one using a stencil (I used adhesive vinyl) I cut on my Silhouette. I sure you could cut a stencil on the glowforge.

Just stick it onto the mat and spray it with Flex-Seal.

That’s a great idea!

That turned out really nice and crisp! Does the FlexSeal wear off if you wipe your feet against it?

Or cut a stencil and spray paint. . .

This has been outside in the elements in front of the main entrance.

Sweet! Glad it’s holding up so well. I may have to try that. Maybe on a baling twine rug I’ve woven.

You could make a template and then paint it. I mean, no you definitely need to buy a bigger laser. And invite all the other Colorado Glowforgers to come use it, too.
