Hi everyone! The world feels pretty brutal right now and I am asking you all for a small favor.
Will you please do something in honor of all people with Down syndrome (including my daughter!) for March 21? Make something with your glowforge, wear blue and yellow (the colors of the Down syndrome awareness ribbon), or post something blue/yellow, or wear a crazy sock combination that day, or even just tell someone you know about how it’s World Down Syndrome Day and maybe do a random act of kindness?
I am sure you can count on many in this community to participate. I think the 2025 theme is quite appropriate for the times we are living - but every year would be a good year to improve support systems of all kinds, in my opinion.
We have had a great day so far! My girl took things to school for her class (pins, friendship bracelets, suckers, stickers, coloring pages and word search puzzles). She wore a cute dress with silly socks and we just painted her nails. I am going to try to do a video with her today if I can.
