Anyone use this tape? Is it better/worse/same as aluminum tape?

Overkill. That stuff is extremely good, and extremely expensive. You are going to need to remove it occasionally to clean the exhaust gate, and you can’t re-use that. I’ve got a couple of rolls that I keep in case a hose breaks on the car. If it’s the same stuff, it bonds to itself with frightening intensity. So don’t wrap a little piece around a finger while you are working with it. (Broke me of that habit in a freaking hurry.)

V-8 juice bottles when cut just beyond the stabilizing rings grab very tight and remove or replace very easily. Taping them to the hose with Gorilla Tape does a good job and does not have to be removed.
