A simple paper wall hanging

This is a piece I made long ago on Aura, to practice draw/design/cut/fold/glue ing, etc. I would love to share this pattern but unfortunately, I got ideas from Matthew Shilian’s work, so maybe there is a copyright concern.

Unless it’s a copy, there isn’t a copyright worry. There’s nothing wrong with not sharing the design though. We can all enjoy the art!

I love this. How 3D is it from the side?

Wow, that’s quite the inspiration!

I saw a picture of his piece and made a similar one from my impression. It can’t be identical because I don’t down his measurements etc. And I picked certain numbers that are more mathematically meaningful. I would love to share it because it is a beautiful pattern, and it’s not doing anything on my hard drive.

Great question about 3D; if I remember correctly, the whole piece is about 10" by 10" by 3/4". Never occurred to me to check the side. I already gave it away

The design really pops with your use of color. It looks like four values of green, but I’m guessing it’s all monochrome–different angles with reflect light and change the apparent color.

We used to have a tradition that scale was portrayed with a banana. We weren’t standardized–ripe or not? over-ripe? semi peeled? So @geek2nurse gave us the gift of the banana ruler.
