AC Return Vent Covers

Here’s one little project that keeps bringing a smile to my face every time I walk around my house. AC Vent Return covers are usually boring. I got inspired by one of our floor vent covers and managed a quite complex vector challenge and here’s the result. I actually love and enjoy the look and feel of medium drafboard so I kept it as is. See an example of commercial wall cover for comparison.

Very nice!

I also managed to avoid any screws. This is held with a few magnets connecting to a mirroring frame inside the vent. I can just pull it off and back on easily.

Very pretty practical cuts.

ooh, i like the magnet idea. i did a cover as one of my very first projects years ago, but i ended up using 3m command strips instead of screws (because the screw holes were 70 yrs old and all mangled anyway). but a magnet is a great idea. nice and hidden.
