I know this seems to be a huge problem for glowforge but I have been trying to get help from glowforge. I purchased a new carriage plate with new air assist fan on it. Replaced the old one and still will not run. I cleaned my machine, checked all wires and see nothing wrong. It will home and center but when I press print it revs up and nothing. I’m beyond frustrated. Glowforge asked for pictures 3 x and I did all that. Then they have ghosted me. Any Ideas I had to shut down my shopify store and etsy store because I have orders I cannot fill. Any thoughts?

My guess is the cable (the big grey one) or a connector - especially if you are using this for commercial purposes. It’s not a commercial machine, it’s built for hobby use, despite the fact that many people use it for commercial purposes. How old is it?
I thought support had a phone number, have you called them?

It’s only 3 years old. I don’t use it every day. I wait till orders come in. I’ll check the big grey wire

Have you ever done anything to clean it other than wiping the optics and rails per the instructions? Doing more than that has led to more failures than anything, in my experience.
