Air Assist - black pulley ring broke

Today I cleaned my Air Assist Fan - and in the process of getting the belt off of the pulley, the black ring broke. I just looked on the Glowforge website and they are out of stock. SOOOO I am curious if anyone has tired to super glue the plastic black ring back together? IF so, what did you use? Gorilla glue? Super glue?

Has anyone glued this back together with success?

Thank you!

i’m confused which piece it is
can you post a picture?

Sorry. - this is the black pulley ring that I am referring to…

Yea, I’ve never seen this as a spare part… – yoyodyne2112 may know where to find one.
I have a pulled gantry, I could harvest them off that.

But lets see what he says

The bearings are out of the one he is showing! That’s whayt usuallt happens. The plastic pully breaks and the bearings stays on the rail till you unbolt it.

Happened to me once. Glowforge will send you a replacement. But the down time is standard for working with any machine. Hopefully you will be back up and running in 1-2 weeks.

Here are some additional options for sourcing a replacement pulley ring:

You can spend money on a 3D printed one, but I’ve been hearing about users that are having issues with the replacements, either immediately upon replacement, or a week or so down the road. My advice is to order the correct replacement from Glowforge, they refer to it as a ‘Pulley Wheel’, and it’s normally available on the spare parts page of Glowforge.com but they’re probably out of stock, so your next best option is to order the original part from sellers like myself. I have several in stock, message me if you can’t get one from Glowforge.
