App running slow

Is it just me, or has the app been super slow the last couple of days?
It’s taking awhile to respond to anything commands.
I was thinking it might be my computer, but all my other programs are running ok

This usually is an individual problem, not system wide. Clear your cache and/or use a different browser.

The GFUI “app” runs completely locally, it doesn’t even require a network connection once you have a design opened. So it has to be on your end.

Its terrible, since Saturday it has been so slow. I have tried various platforms Google, Google Chrome, Edge etc My Fibre connection is 546 MBS so it definitely isn’t my end. And yes before people start I have cleared my cache and all that. All my other cloud based apps work fine, this is terrible to the point I cannot function my business.

This isn’t the first time either….

We are seeing same thing. Tried using different computers and same results. Simple copy and paste take very long. Only happens with Glowforge

The lagging behavior that you describe can often be solved by clearing your browser cache and/or opening the app in a completely different browser.

My app is still mega slow and isn’t responding at all most of the time. Clearing browsing history and cache is just a BS lame response. This is clearly an issue with Glowforge, its strange that more and more people are experiencing the same issues.

I have tried on various computers and even my new work laptop straight out of the box. Same issues, yes I use complex designs, but never have I experienced problems this bad on the app.
Somewhere down the line Glowforge have updated something that has caused this issue, we will never know as they can’t be honest with customers.
My advice would be to throw the Glowforge in the bin and buy an Omtech, I have no issues with this machine as it uses manual software and not some shite cloud base software.

Might be design related. I just checked my two most complex, one has a little over 30,000 nodes and the other 38,000 - both opened instantly and the UI is just as responsive as it is with even the most simple. And I know it loaded the latest version from the cloud, as I had to log in again (always a clue that there’s been a change to it..)

Both on Macbooks, one is over a decade old and stuck on an old OS version, and the other still 6 years old but on the latest everything.
