Aura Not cutting through

I know that there’s a particular order that you have to do for the filter to work properly. I had that happen once with my Spark (very similar to the Aura, except or material cutting size, as the Spark is a little smaller and doesn’t have passthrough). I had to unplug both the filter and the Spark, then plugged them back in with plugging the Spark in first, and then the filter. The filter automatically recognizes and connects to the Spark, so it automatically turns on whenever I print. My filter does run an extra few seconds/minute after cutting to exhaust any remaining fumes.

Does your filter light come on when you cut something? When I realized mine wasn’t working, I realized I not only didn’t hear it, but that the light was off. I found that I can make it run, and even at a higher speed if I’m cutting something that produces more smoke like wood instead of just paper, just by pressing the filter button once (low), twice (medium), or three times (high). But after I unplugged/replugged both the Spark and the filter, it works just fine.

Hope it starts working for you so you can really enjoy your Aura.

My filter is full already after just 1 1/2 months. I decided I could not afford replacing filters that fast. I’ve been venting out my window and my Aura is working ok. It is cutting now. The filter was a waste of money. Mine ejected fumes that really was dangerous. It was so loud also. I can’t believe how quiet it is now. Thank you for taking time to help me out - may God bless you.

Glad it’s working now. Yeah, the filters are rather noisy. I also have a Basic that I have vented out the window (my Spark isn’t), and the Basic is much quieter. God bless you too!

If you cut MDF (draftboard) you will fill the filter extremely quickly. Also all the medium plywood that has MDF in the center. If you did not cut any of these the filter would last a lot longer. If there was any way to pump the exhaust out the window it would still be less costly, though engraving rocks, or the color off of aluminum perhaps not so as you would notice.
