Is there a software out there that i can use to auto arrange a large cut into the least amount of space
It’s called nesting.
This is what i use, [Deepnest - open source nesting software]
As mentioned by gamn1958:
It’s not flawless, but it works well enough. I find it does eventually “stall” and fail to find more efficient solutions that would work, but in most cases I don’t need a super-super-optimized solution anyway. It would be nice if it could be “nudged” or something to consider a geometry it’s been avoiding, but pro nesting software is big bucks so I ain’t gonna complain.
thanks, im currently trying out Deepnest, it’s chugging through the possibilities right now
I’ve tried Deepnest IO before, but just FYI, I followed the instructions to use it with Inkscape, but it still always slightly changed my file size. I haven’t given it a go in a while, but when you’re working with small scale items, being off by a few mm was too much.
i noticed that too.
I used the other day on one of my old filed and didn’t have an issue file size remained the same.
