Best way to color in engraved words on acrylic

Hello,

I am testing out the best way to color in engraved words on acrylic. I have tried spray paint, acrylic paint, and a paint pen. I am curious if anyone has any recommendations or tips to get the best outcome.

I’ve used all of the above with success. The best approach on clear acrylic is to reverse engrave on the back, and fill with paint. It looks really nice from the front, that way!

I just apply the paint before the masking is taken off. Then after it is dry, remove the masking.

I have also done the reverse. Paint the acrylic first, then engrave away where I don’t want the paint.

Use 2-color acrylic instead of paint. You engrave away the top color to reveal a second color.
