I am looking to do a project for a client who wants the pieces to have nice smooth beveled edges. Has anyone had luck with this on the GF?
The Glowforge does not easily make beveled edges.
Several have, myself included. Search for Bevel or Miter. Here’s one example:
Probably need to use a regular router for that.
A possibly cheaper alternative is a Dremel tool with router attachment and bits. Thats what I use because I already had the Dremel tool.
Also depends on what kind/how far they want the bevel to be. A second line with a defocused beam just inside the cut or score line can knock a bit of the edge off but risks leaving more edges in its place like stair steps.
If you have a steady hand, these little deburr tools can produce a nice beveled edge.
