How can I clean the connection of the black lid cable? I haven’t cleaned it before, I have had my machine for 5 years and had to replace the black lid cable two months ago and it was working great until yesterday when it started saying camera didn’t take picture. So I wanted to see if cleaning would help but I don’t want to make anything worse before I try, if that makes sense! Thank you!
It is not designed to be cleaned and most fluids can destroy other components.
Contact cleaner is probably your best option but there is no reason to suspect it needs to be cleaned. It likely just needs to be carefully re-seated. While removed, you could hit it with a little compressed air as long as there is no condensation which could cause a short. They are not designed to be removed and replaced so the contacts are somewhat finicky..
