Is there a reason why most files are designed for 1/8" material…i’ve ordered alot of 1/4" but have no 1/8" … guess I need to order more 1/8" instead of 1/4"
Mostly due to weight I’d suspect. 1/4" is pretty hefty, and more than you usually need for a small box.
I’ve occasionally used 1/4" for 3D engraves…gives you more depth to work with.
You can build furniture with 1/4" ply. Complete overkill for most laser projects.
