Until recently I did not know the existence of the word ‘escutcheon’ (I am a Dutchy, so there are always new words for me to learn in English and even in Dutch).
This is what I designed and printed for my first escutcheon…
Proofgrade medium acrylic, proofgrade settings and acrylic paint to color the engravings.
Nice! Welcome to the community, enjoy the adventure.
I’ve made myself reminders too!
Welcome to the forum. Nice little color detail on your escutcheon.
Open Blast Gate sounds like you’re on a ship, going into battle. Like, Open the Torpedo Tube! Launch!
Excellent escutcheon design.
Welcome. Nice escutcheon.
nice! my original one just simply said “open the blast gate, dummy!” (since i’d forgotten a couple of times and smoked everything up).
and to mess with you even more, “escutcheon” is French…
English has a big problem stealing words
Lovely one you’ve cut there!
I say, accepting there’s no better substitute!
Nice job and welcome to the madness!!
Great idea! Plus still has a bit of decor. Nice!
Welkom! An excellent escutcheon. I’ve lived here now for 30 years (originally dutch) and never heard of this word either until this forum.
English doesn’t just steal other languages words it shakes it down for its lunch money as well.
This should probably be in Practical Cuts.
Always good to remind yourself about important things.
I solved the vent fan problem with a motor monitor switch box. One switch for two receptacle (fan and GF power).
I think you will never ever forget about the flashback anymore
Thank you all for your kind reactions. And thanks to the GF community I am not only improving my English and GF skills, but also learning new French words
Welcome, you are on your way.
Great design and love the colours! I need one of these, I feel super left out
Making one all your own is kind of a right of passage.
