Button escutcheon

Until recently I did not know the existence of the word ‘escutcheon’ (I am a Dutchy, so there are always new words for me to learn in English and even in Dutch).
This is what I designed and printed for my first escutcheon…

Proofgrade medium acrylic, proofgrade settings and acrylic paint to color the engravings.

Open Blast Gate sounds like you’re on a ship, going into battle. Like, Open the Torpedo Tube! Launch!
Excellent escutcheon design.

and to mess with you even more, “escutcheon” is French…
English has a big problem stealing words :stuck_out_tongue:

Lovely one you’ve cut there!

Welkom! An excellent escutcheon. I’ve lived here now for 30 years (originally dutch) and never heard of this word either until this forum.

English doesn’t just steal other languages words it shakes it down for its lunch money as well.

This should probably be in Practical Cuts.
Always good to remind yourself about important things.

I solved the vent fan problem with a motor monitor switch box. One switch for two receptacle (fan and GF power).

Thank you all for your kind reactions. And thanks to the GF community I am not only improving my English and GF skills, but also learning new French words
