Im getting this message . I have checked all the lid connections. I have bought a spare lid black cable. My glowforge pro is under warranty , if I replace the cable will this affect the warranty.
As a user replaceable part, I doubt it but if you really want an answer, you need to talk to support.
This is no longer problems & support just community support. It’s no longer part of Gfs tech support system.

I have a Pro and a Plus and neither will take a picture. Might be other problems.
