Hi! My camera stop taking a picture when starting up. I’ve read I need to possibly replace the thicker black cable but there are none available anywhere. Hoping for another solution 
What exactly are you meaning when you say stopped taking a picture? What exactly happens during the start up routine?

I turn it on, it focuses, clicks a few times, then is supposed to center but doesn’t move and I get an error on the computer saying camera did not take a picture.
You’re going to want to check your connections before even thinking about replacing the cable - it’s possible it’s just come loose!
With your machine off check each connection - make sure it’s fully seated and if not check each tab to make sure none of them are bent funny. Also look along the length of the cables for any spots where the coating might have rubbed off.

I did about ten times.
Then you need to reach out to support by email/website/Discord. They’re going to ask you the same things.
There are scalpers selling black cables for a few hundred bucks if you want to avoid support.
