Hello!! I bought some notebooks on amazon that are leather hardcovers. They do not say if they are laser friendly so I am very nervous to engrave on them. I don’t want to damage my machine or cause toxic fumes. Has anyone ever engraved on something like this? If so, did you have any problems?
Welcome to the community. Pleather is faux leather…meaning it could be made of stuff that’s not laser compatible at all…which might include vinyl…a big NO for your laser. Without any further information about what the notebooks are made of, no one can give you a definitive answer on that. You’ll need to do some research to get that info. first.
