Certain Files imported from AI shrink

I dont know if it is a GF software problem, but I have SVG files that are correctly sized, then when I import them into GF to cut, they have shrunk an inch each side. Cant figure out why it does this or if something I need to do in AI or what

When you export to an SVG look at the box that says “responsive”. I believe it should not be check marked. I may have it backwards, but it is probably that.

Might want to start saving as PDF as well. I haven’t heard of any issues with PDF files. Though I personally have never had issues with SVGs as well and the settings mentioned by others should work just fine.

@whickmant I am sorry that the design is shrinking an inch on either side once they are imported to the app.

Could you share a screenshot of what you see once the design is imported to the app?

Could you also provide a copy of the design as well as let me know what the correct measurements are supposed to be?

To take a screenshot:

  • Mac: Press Shift-Command-4 and click and drag a box around your image. You’ll find the screenshot file saved on your desktop.
  • Windows: Click on the Start Menu and type “snipping tool”. Open the Snipping Tool > New then click and drag a box around your image. Click the Save icon and name and save your file.

Once we have your information we’ll be able to investigate further.
