Can I change the settings mid job? Or do I have to stop, reset them, and start again on same project?
Sorry no changing the settings mid job.
The entire job is calculated on glowforge’s servers and then all of the instructions are sent at once to your machine. You just have to stop and redo the job, no way around it.

You can stop if you are careful to do so between steps and not in the middle of a step .

I’m definitely better with a saw.

So can I ignore the step at least and reset ? Or just have to stop before this step ?
You redo it after setting the step that is done on ignore. I have done this frequently.
