Copy and paste vectors from illustrator importing as bitmaps

This used to work to get clipboard to paste into glowforge UI. No they show up as bitmaps so I have to export and import as SVG each time.

Illustrator had some weird clipboard settings. Fixed.

Can you explain what they were in case anyone else has the same issue? Adobe has been known to change default settings.

One thing that threw me until I figured it out is that Illustrator uses whatever your last “Export as SVG” settings were when you copy and paste to Glowforge.

I tested this definitively a year ago, and made a screen recording to show exactly what the behavior is. It’s possible that something has changed since then, or there’s something different about your setup, but it still works correctly for me. [Screen Recording 2024 03 22 at 1 28 43 PM]
