I made a Craft Exchange (kind of like a Little Free Library, but for craft projects) in front of my home!
Since I make so many things with my Glowforge (and beyond) I thought this would be a fun way to give things away to my neighbors, and maybe get some cook crafts in return! Not only are the contents made on my Glowforge, but I cut the lettering out of black acrylic
I do something like this with my community of DM’s for D&D, we create some atrocious and share them around with each other’s groups . Recently I put a spin on Medusa and made… MEGOOSA!
What a cool idea! Not sure it would work in my neighborhood, but maybe if it were put at our local library, it might help generate not only business for the library if they have a GF for public use (I don’t know, I haven’t been to it, not even sure where it is!), but also people checking out books for craft ideas.
Is that a little chandelier hanging in there? I want one!
Neat idea! Reminds me a little of the rock cart in my Hobbit landscape, although that was just for giving away, not for exchanging. On the other hand, I got rid of a lot of rocks.
It’s actually a druid who was cursed by Giga goose and now instead of snakes for hair it’s consistently writhing squonking goose heads. I have a six-page lore document if you’d like it to be sent to you LOL
It required a bunch of beading work too, which I think disqualifies it from the catalog. But here’s the SVG if you want to try making it! I just used some sparkly clear beads to hang from the holes.
Note this is 2 chandeliers… the bottom 3 circles are for this one:
