When I was in my 20s, I had a female friend’s dad do this to me when I came to pick her up for something (we weren’t even dating.) He gave me the “She’ll be down in a minute; have a seat.”
I sat down across from him where he had the guns laid out and asked if he needed help. He cocked an eyebrow and I picked up one of his pistols and stripped it down and laid the pieces out on the mat in front of me and he busted out laughing.
“Well dang. I take it you’re familiar with firearms?”
“Eh, I used to be a boy scout.”
“Ah, that makes sen–… wait, they taught you how to field strip a handgun in boy scouts?”
“No, sir.”
