Cutting

Started cutting my first project. First one was good…

Then I got ambitious…

Not sure what happened. This was suppose to be the Snap and Store box.

Looks like your ribbon cable is twisted incorrectly.

Get down at eye level, open the front door and make sure the belt is laid out as shown in this picture;

In order to straighten it out, you are going to need to carefully remove the clip at the head.

Instructions for how to do that are shown here:

  1. Turn off your Glowforge
  2. Open the front door and carefully remove the crumb tray
  3. Remove the printer head
  • Holding only the finished black surfaces, grasp the printer head as shown. Pull gently up and back to disengage the magnets and remove the head.

  • Push down fully on the wire ribbon tab to unplug the wire ribbon from the printer head. Pull the wire ribbon gently away.

Straighten out the cable “gently” then fold it back over on itself loosely before plugging it back into the head.

Then reseat the head by holding it slightly above the carriage plate until the magnets click it into place.

Once you straighten that cable out you shouldn’t have any trouble with the larger file…it just got caught. :wink:
