I use data saver in my Chrome browser because of my somewhat limited data here, my question is: does anyone know if there’s a significant difference in quality when using? I do so much testing that I hardly burn anything to keep, I want to be efficient and scoop up someone else’s knowledge, I’ll pay it forward, I promise! :O)

When logged in to the GFUI data saver will not be used. This is straight from their documentation:
Data Saver won’t work if you’re on secure pages (addresses that start with https://) or if you’re browsing in private with Incognito mode.
There are technical reasons that encrypted traffic cannot be compressed.
