Design Size Not Accurate

Hi everyone! Last night I printed a design that I created in Silhouette Business. It was a Chiara design (arch) that I created and exported to SVG. It was 5x7 in the software and also I double checked the size in the Glowforge app, but it did not print 5 inches wide. Has anyone ever experienced this? It’s the first time this has happened to me.

Hi and welcome the community! Sorry your first post here is a problem, but you’ve got so many owners here with years of experience so we’ve got you

First question - what printer do you have? :glowforge: Basic/Plus/Pro, or :aura: ?

When you say you checked the size in the Glowforge app - I’m presuming it said 5x7 there - which means you have a mechanical issue. It may be something as simple as debris stuck in one of your belts. If, while everything is off, you move the bar slowly and carefully - see if you feel any lagging or tugging.

What resolution output does silhouette save in? As I recall there were sizing differences between certain softwares. If it looks like it is the correct size in the Glowforge user interface, then that is a different issue.

Thanks to both of you. I have a Plus. The design was 5x7 in the Glowforge app as well as my Silhouette software. I’ll look at the belts, clean, and try again!
