Die with 3D printed corners

Z-height management is the achilles heel of all FDM printers… Anyway today’s print was the OphthalmicDocs fundus scope which allows you to use a 20D indirect ophthalmoscope lens to image the retina with your smartphone camera… Printed great in Prusa PLA. All in one print. Luckily being a 3D printing guy have a large selection of metric nuts and bolts on hand to put it together…

Looks fabulous. So are these teaching tools for benefit of Med Students? or practical tools for daily practice?

Totally practical. I’ve never gotten that lens to work in real life (indirect ophthalmoscope) and the fixed nature of this plus cellphone smarts makes it work

(way more of me than you wanted to see :grin: - I was surprised my disk margin was sharp given I assumed my hellacious job caused increased intracranial pressure given daily rage! :astonished:
