This is something that I would like to know as well. This is a BIG feature that sold a lot of people but we are still waiting.
Will have a look into it! Many thanks!
In my account I see an announcement for delivery of the air filter, but i have not heard anything about when the actual laser will arrive here in Berlin. What have i missed? Are you waiting until the 3rd anniversary of my order (Sept 25, 2015)? Or are there dates for delivery to Germany? I certainly havenāt received that famous email yet.
Typically no date for the laser (if youāve had one there before) means your notification is imminent. Or has already been sent and went to your spam.
no spam. I have a folder for mails from Glowforge. I suppose no news is good news. Certainly stopped believing any published dates more than a year ago.
Well, what was your date?
@dan
Am I missing something? The video that you posted SEEMS to imply that we now have passthrough support in the app for long materials, but I am not seeing that option. I really need that support for a product that I want to bring to market.
Weāre working on software support to make it easy - in the interim, the same results can be accomplished by printing a 10" section, pushing it forward 10", and then printing the next section.
Itās a pain - Iām really looking forward to making this easier in software for you. (And for me!)
I know you were an early supporter, so weāve attempted to reach you for delivery - itās possible it got filtered somewhere along the way. Can you send a note to support so they can investigate? (Also, sending the email to us often makes it easier for our reply to avoid filters).
Thanks for the update, I wish we had more information on the air-filters. Iām waiting patiently.
so pass through projects will have easy alignment, not auto alignment?
Thoughts? My thoughts are: Another month goes by without a single new feature of any interest to me. But Iām happy the company is having some success.
Thanks for the update! Unfortunately, I donāt have a MacBook or any IOS devices. Maybe if I ask nicely, my wife will let me borrow her iPadā¦ But then Iāll get that look . The āSee I told you that you should have gotten an iPadā look.
Something like that.
Iām not sure I understand the difference, but weāll explain exactly how the software works when itās ready.
While I would have liked to see new features, they have been very forthright with where their priorities lie. They said that they will focus on delivery before focusing on software upgrades. It looks like they have there shipping figured out now.
That being said, what Iām still most excited about and waiting for isnāt a new software feature. I canāt wait to see what the first Expansion Port option is going to be!
Mine still says July 3rd. Waiting for it to slip again. Which is fine by me, need the dollar to get worse so I can cancel and not lose money on waiting 2.5 yearsā¦
So the Glowforge has a 40W laser and is class 1 ā¦ the Glowforge Plus has a 45W laser and is also class 1 ā¦ and the Glowforge Pro has a 45W laser and can accommodate āpass-thruā and is a class 4 laser product --> can I deduce that if a Glowforge Pro user maintains does not utilize the āpass-thruā, that they can consider it a class 1 laser with regard to laser eye protection?
Thanks, Brian
With the laser shields in place, the Pro is a class 1. Without them in place, there is an opening in the enclosure making it a class 4.
does anyone have the shields yet? I never received mine.
Iāve had mine a month as well. I wouldāve waited the extra month had I known the price were to drop. I already emailed support.
