Hello, Creatives!
I am starting a commissioned art work where most of it will be made using my Glowforge. I would like to have deeper engraving lines rather than the default. I plan to use thin maple or basswood. I am willing to switch to thicker if necessary. I would greatly appreciate any information you could share.
Thanks!
Janice
The solutions involve selecting the step, click on engrave, then Manual. You should now see the settings GF Presets default to. From here you can: increase number of passes, slow down the speed by 5-10, or increase power by 5-10. Suggest testing 1 method at a time for desired depth.
Though now that I’ve double checked what the thin is(just the veneer) you may really need to go with medium thickness as the veneer just has so little thickness to it. But the above can help with adjustments anyway. All a part of the creative process. For science!!
