I keep getting the message unable to complete print. I have refreshed the browser, restarted the machine, and chose to ignore part of the design. SVG file

Does the print begin or does the error message pop up after processing and before the print light flashes?

When I press ready after focusing. It just spins and spins then the message pops up and it says print stopped. So it never finishes preparing the print.
Sometimes this happens because there is a problem with the file. Does this happen no matter what file you try to print? Is this a new problem - you were printing without issue and then one day you can’t get past the preparing the print or has it been like this since you got your machine. Finally, what Glowforge do you have and have you contacted Glowforge support?

I have the Glowforgepro. This is a new problem. I used it one day and the next day I couldn’t get past print. I have not used this particular file before. I emailed support but have not heard back yet. I have a project I need done ASAP so I was trying everything.

Right, so go back and try a file that you know does work in the past and see if the problem happens there too. That’s how you can isolate whether or not it’s that file that is possibly the root cause.

Thank you so much for your help. I tried the previous file and it still worked. Any ideas what to look for on this file to fix?

If the file is quite large, you can open it in your vector program and “simplify” it. You can try deleting the file from you Dashboard and then dragging and dropping the file onto the interface. You can also share the file here and someone could take a look. Don’t do this, however, if you have purchased this file as you probably don’t have permission to share the file.
