When selecting the area of a preview scan for a trace function you are asked to draw a square around the area. This seems fine when using a mouse and high resolution screen, but if you are in a different situation such as a tablet or a Surface where a touch screen can be used, the initial square that you draw is often not the final area that you would like to select.
In the current software the selection is made immediately upon the removal of your finger and the software proceeds forward. If you are inaccurate in the selection you have to go back a screen, do it over again, potentially have to repeat over and over until you get it correct.
If you were allowed software “adjustment boxes” before leaving that screen it would make the process more likely to avoid a back button situation.
