I just received a replacement refurbished Glowforge Pro. I am cutting proofgrade 1/4" thick acrylic bought from Glowforge. Using the thick clear acrylic setting. It is flaming when doing the cutting, nothing while engraving. This did not happen on my previous brand new machine. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Clean the air assist fan and see if anything changes. Could be your refurbished was not well prepared for a new user.

An e-mail to support with photos might let them make minor changes to your machine programming that would fine-tune the effects. I have seen that happen on several occasions.
